Short Bio

Ștefan joined Kaspersky Lab in 2007 as a regional researcher in Romania, where he was responsible for monitoring the local threat landscape. Two years later Stefan joined the Global Research & Analysis Team as a Senior Security Researcher. He specializes in advanced persistent threats and cyber espionage operations, the cybercrime ecosystem, threats targeting financial systems and global security trends in general.

  • The evolution of cryptocurrencies

Ștefan is involved in several innovative research projects, ranging from malware databases and honeypots to web crawlers. He is a regular speaker at major international security conferences, including SAS, Virus Bulletin, RSA, IDC or AVAR.
